Healing Earth
The pure natural product healing earth is extracted from glacial loess in Germany. It is believed that the loess was made from rocks that were transported from Scandinavia to Germany with the glacial glaciers of the last ice age (Diluvium - from which the name Luvos® is derived) and were crushed to powder form. This rock powder was then blown by the wind to its current deposit and "weathered" by the influence of water to loess.
Turmeric
The spice is from a tropical plant that resembles ginger. As its German name "Gelbwurz" reveals, turmeric is derived from the roots which contain a strong yellowing pigment called curcumin. They are cooked, dried and powdered.
Chia
Only recently have the poppy-like seeds of the chia plant arrived as so-called "superfood". It is a Central American relative of sage.
Psyllium
The name of the tiny psyllium indicates that they are reminiscent of fleas. They come from the Mediterranean and Asia. The grains have a high swelling capacity thanks to mucilage; they can absorb many times their own weight in water.
Linseed
In ancient times, the blue-flowering plant was of great importance because of its robust fibers, which were used for textiles. Today, their seeds and the oil derived from them are widely used.
Blue Agave
The Blue Agave is a drought-resistant plant from Mexico. Their leaves serve as the basis of the Tequilas known to us. But it is also important as a supplier of Inulin.
